ViVamonos is a virtual educational platform created and founded by Vámonos Tours (Vamonos). Back in 2002, our founder and language teacher, Jorge Pardo, started this educational tour company after six years of taking his own students on cultural and Spanish immersion tours of Puerto Rico. Our offices are located in DE, PA, and Puerto Rico.
Throughout the years, Vamonos has learned to adapt to unforeseen circumstances, such a 911, the Zika virus, terrorism in Europe, Hurricanes Irma and Maria, earthquakes, and the global pandemic. Whether schools are closed and trips are canceled, or you are just looking to expose students to real-life experiences from home or your class as part of your teaching day, ViVamonos has a unique opportunity for you.
Presently, we are the largest student tour operator company in Puerto Rico and founders of touroldsanjuan.com. We are also members of prestigious travel and professional associations such as SYTA, BBB, NTA, and others.
Birth of ViVámonos
ViVamonos was born as an educational tool to bring real, meaningful, and above all, live experiences to learners of all ages. ViVamonos shares the same passion and obsession for cultural immersion and meaningful travel as Vamonos does. Our virtual experiences come from the minds of language teachers with over 35 years of combined teaching experience in both middle and high school.
We went to our drawing board of adaptability and asked ourselves:
- How can we best serve the needs of educators, students, and institutions who can only experience education through a screen?
- How do we transmit our cultural immersion experience to people virtually?
- How do we make it real, palpable, “Vamonos-proof?”
- Would a YouTube video or a cool documentary satisfy?
…Um, we didn’t think so either.
