DESCRIPTION: Meet a certified tour guide and explore the historic Panama Canal.

PURPOSE:
Learn the importance of the Panama Canal and about Aguas Claras, the largest of the Panama Canal Locks.
In Aguas Claras, walk through the ecological path and explore a variety of plants and species that make the trail an adventure with great scenery.
Develop a basic understanding for how the canal works and the costs associated with using this canal.
Explore the people that live around the canal.
Gain tools to broaden your perspective in history and geography.
Use your Spanish skills to interview and ask your guide (and locals along the way) questions.

OVERVIEW
5 Mins: Meet your tour guide; introduction to this experience and to G Maps
25-30 Min: Live ViTrip or ViChat through the Panama Canal
5-10 mins: Q & A with tour guide

APPROPRIATENESS: This workshop is appropriate for students ages 10 and up. Teacher supervision is required for minors.
